The Toyo Celsius CUV tires are a Variable-Conditions tire developed by Toyo for CUV’s, SUV’s, coupes and sedans. These tires are designed to offer the kind of performance that is required for vehicles driving in all four seasons, including enhanced traction and handling on freezing winter roads that are dry or slippery, and covered with snow, slush or ice.

The Celsius CUV four-season tire is engineered with Toyo’s advanced polymer technology to produce a specialized winter tread compound with a unique surface texture. This compound is molded into a tread pattern that has a central zone, with asymmetrical tread blocks, shaped to provide traction on wet surfaces. These tread blocks are patterned with extra gripping sipes that lock together for improved handling on wet or dry roads. In addition, the enhanced grip uses its biting edges on packed snow covered surfaces to eliminate the need for metal studs. The shoulders on the Toyo Celsius tires are also stabilized for greater handling on dry roads.

Internally, the Toyo Celsius tires are built with polyester cord body plies for a smooth comfortable drive, reinforced with twin steel belts for enhanced durability and resistance to punctures. The tire is spirally wrapped with polyamide for enhanced high-speed responsiveness when driving in warmer, summer conditions. The Toyo Celsius Variable Condition tires come with winter wear indicators imbedded in their tread, making it easy to identify when the tread has reached a point that it can no longer offer adequate winter traction. The Toyo Celsius meets the tire industry’s stringent snow service requirements and has the severe snow rated 3 peak mountain snowflake on its sidewall.
